Stainless Steel Door Hinge Kit for Europa

Loose and sagging doors are usually caused by seized door hinge pins.  Replace all the steel hinge components with stainless to eliminate the problem once and for all! 
Each kit contains parts for one door: hinge pin, bushings, nuts, washers, cotter pin (all stainless) and abrasive washers.

Europas made for the US market (Federal cars) built after January 1, 1970 were fitted with a "direct-glazed" windscreen. With this glazing method the glass is bonded (glued) into the body. No rubber seal is used. 

We currently supply the chrome plastic windscreen trim as two pieces of trim approximately 2 meters long each. This is sufficient material for one car.

Current trim measures slightly under 1” wide. Original trim from the 1970’s measured about 1-1/8” wide.

Shocks accept 2.5" ID springs as original, adjustable spring platforms for ride height adjustment and 28 settings of externally adjustable damping. All mounting bushes come with these shocks including bushes and washers for anti-roll bar attachment.

Lucas Sport Coil

This is an OE Lucas High Output Sports Coil, rated at 40.000 volts, for cars that DO NOT use an external ballast resistor and have a push on connector for the coil. This special spanner is used to remove the finned side nuts on all Europa transmissions: 336, 352 and 365. Of course, it's also used to tighten these nuts. It's much easier to replace the diff side seals and o-rings if you remove the finned nut that is the seal carrier, and using this tool to remove the finned nut means that it's less likely you'll damage any fins.

The "rear axle end-float" should be checked periodically and shimmed as necessary.  The proper end-float is .005" - .008".  Shims are available in .005" and .015" thickness.  Excessive end-float can cause high-speed vibrations and premature failure of axle pins.  It's a good idea to replace the rear axle pins when you're installing shims; old pins can fracture causing even more end float!

Replacement Rocker Switches
We're offering replacement switches that are very close to the originals in size, shape and function.  The rocker itself is virtually identical to the original but the metal frame that mounts the rocker pivot is slightly wider than the original.  A little work with a Dremel tool on the wood facia panel can provide the necessary clearance.  The mounting hole spacing on the new switches may differ slightly from the originals also.

Heater Fan and Lighting Rocker Switches

This switch was normally used for heater fan and main lighting functions.

Side Marker Base

The Lucas 841 Side Marker Lamp was used on the Elan S4, Plus 2, Europa S2 and TwinCam, Elite, Eclat and Esprit.  The lenses are held in place by a chrome rim, which is retained in the lamps rubber base.  As the elements take their toll this rubber base becomes brittle and cracked, allowing the (expensive) rim and lenses to fall out.  Replace the rubber bases on your lamps with these exact reproductions of the original Lucas base.
